Paradise Villa

My wife and I stayed here for 8 days in February 2017. We selected this villa after DAYS of research and scrutinized dozens of other villas, in short, this was not an easy choice, but this villa was PRIME! The view is incredible, beyond belief. Everything about the villa was great. It was nice to have 2 housekeepers around, they took care of EVERYTHING and when we were tired they were able to cook us some pretty good Thai food along with daily breakfast. They were also able to shop for us which meant more time to do other more fun things. The housekeepers didn't speak much English but this was not a problem at all. They were both incredibly nice and offered a very high level of service and were never obtrusive in any way. The pool is fantastic, it's nice and deep and and the lights are nice for swimming at night. The bed was comfortable, a bit on the firm side which I liked and the bedding was nice as well. Bathrooms were fine, nothing special but nice nonetheless. The host, Katharina was amazing, she speaks English, German and Thai fluently. She was there waiting for us in a Range Rover at the airport. Pick ups and drop offs at the airport went off without a hitch. Katharina really went above and beyond to make our stay enjoyable, she was able to arrange lots of taxis for us, and recommend a phenomenal speed boat tour of Ang Thong. I highly suggest you take her advice and take the smaller tour, the larger ones did not seem nearly as fun. Without her help, our trip would have been tangibly worse, she really adds of value to this villa and works incredibly hard!! Some things to be aware of when you rent this villa: You are up at the very top of an incredibly steep hill, most taxis will not go up there so you will want to arrange taxis in advance (as in, not 30 minutes before you want to go to the beach/Buddha/town). Katharina can arrange taxis for you. We just had the taxi drivers pick us up wherever the dropped us off, at a set time, they were never late, never left us hanging, never had any problems whatsoever. The taxi company was great, the drivers were super friendly, drove comfortable SUV's and had some great recommendations on food and most spoke decent English as well. We had one of the drivers drive us around the island for 4 hours one day to see everything. I highly recommend that option, do it early in the trip so you can return to your favorite spots and spend more time there later on. One other thing is that when we were there, there were 5-6 other villas being built in very close proximity to this one. Sometimes it was a bit noisy, but imo not even close to a deal breaker.
