Thank you for your interest in our villas. We look forward to speaking with you!
Villa Uno is a cluster of about five pavilions that features contemporary tropical luxury. Interiors are appointed with mostly complementary, finely finished, simple and ornate teak wood furnishings combined with some classic and luxurious as well as woven wood pieces. Amenities are expectedly of hotel and resort quality – to ensure each and every guest’s pure pleasure and indulgence. Constructed on a hilltop ascending from Tongson Beach, Villa Uno truly creates for you a well-deserved break in an atmosphere that is, literally and figuratively, high end.
The villa has four bedrooms. Two of these bedrooms – one of which is the master bedroom – are on the second floors of the east wing pavilions. Both bedrooms open out to exclusive, furnished balconies as well as to a common, open-air terrace with a jacuzzi and picture-perfect views of Tongson Bay. Two other bedrooms are in an individual two-storey pavilion on the west wing. These bedrooms have picturesque views of Big Buddha Beach. All bedrooms have canopied and draped queen-sized beds as well as dedicated bathrooms with bathtubs and rain showers. The master bedroom has a large free-standing bathtub. The three other bedrooms have fitted bathtubs.
The property’s two-level exterior of waterfalls, ponds, well-kept lawn and trees has – on the upper level – two infinity pools – one on the villa’s east wing, while the other is on the west wing. After catching a glimpse of the magnificent sunrise followed by a heavy breakfast, you can jump – pulling everyone with you – into the infinity pool’s mesmerizing waters for some splashy fun and games. For a tan, you can lounge on cushioned, wooden pool beds partially covered by a large umbrella on the poolside stone deck. But once it gets quite hot, seek the shade of the sala close by and doze off on the cushioned, wooden day beds – lulled by the calming sound of cascading waters. By mid-afternoon, move to the west wing and relax on the long, cushioned couch of the poolside pergola. In time for the sunset, leap into the infinity pool and wade to the pool’s edge. Then linger – spellbound – as you look out to the distant and fiery horizon. This magic hour also signals the beginning of your cocktail and barbecue pool party at the villa’s poolside, semi-open bar.
At the east wing’s breezy covered terrace is the living area with its long and hefty, cushioned, woven wood couches and chairs. Here, you can all get together for moments of family or friendly bonding. There are two dining areas. The indoor dining area – with a glass-topped table that seats eight – is on the ground floor of one pavilion on the villa’s east wing. While the alfresco dining area – with its wooden table for six – is at the covered terrace of the west wing. At any of these dining areas, you can all indulge in authentic local cuisine – as well as international favorites – dished out by the resident chef from the fully-equipped, commercial kitchen on the villa’s lower level. Behind the indoor dinner table is a TV lounge where you can catch shows you’ve been following closely. Or, go on a marathon of your can’t-get-enough-of movies. On the ground floor of another east wing pavilion is the villa’s gym with cardio and weight machines as well as free weights and an adjacent sauna so you can really sweat it out. In a detached pavilion on the west wing is a snooker room where you can all have fun competing for a few bragging rights.
Tasked to render the regular services of the villa is a staff that’s comprised of a housekeeper, a chef, a pool attendant and a gardener. Car rental is also available.
Villa Uno is based in Plai Laem. A short drive from the villa is Chaweng Beach where you can spend the day swimming, sunbathing as well as enjoying a variety of water sports. Just 40 meters from the shore is Aquapark Samui where you can experience a new kind of water fun. On land, get to play a new sport at the Samui Football Golf Club. Then watch some thrilling Muay Thai bouts at the Petchbuncha Boxing Stadium. Go see a replica of Buddha’s footprint at Wat Khao Hua Jook, the Big Buddha itself, Wat Plai Laem and the monk Luang Pordaeng – mummified in a meditative position – at Wat Khunaram. Shop to your heart’s content at the Central Festival Samui and, especially on a Friday, at the Fisherman’s Village Walking Street. Stay on and groove to the rhythm of the vibrant nightlife at Soi Green Mango.
