Baan Bua Sawan is a multi-level vacation compound composed of two pavilions that illustrate contemporary tropical style. Spaces are appointed with predominantly excellently crafted, complementary, dark as well as woven wood furnishings and fixtures. At once, amenities are meticulously of hotel and resort standard – for the total satisfaction and recreation of each and every guest. Belonging to the Dhevatara Residence estate, Baan Bua Sawan, truly, hands to you a haven of fine vacation living with a faraway and coastal charm.

The master bedroom opens out to a balcony with fabulous views of the open sea. Two guest rooms are on the second level of the bedroom pavilion. These bedrooms have king-sized beds. Parallel to the edge of the property’s second-level exterior is the swimming pool. Plunge into its welcoming, glassy waters for some aimless wading, or for some playful splashing. Up from the water, you can lie on cushioned, ergonomic pool beds partially covered by a large umbrella on the stone deck at one end of the swimming pool.
On the second level of the villa’s main pavilion is the sunny and breezy living area. Around its cushioned, woven wood sofas and chairs oriented towards a widescreen TV, you can all await the next episode of the newest hit series. Or, relive the memorable moments of your most beloved classic movie. There are two dining areas. The indoor dining area – with its dark, timber wood table for eight – is on the other half of the main pavilion. The alfresco dining area – with its dinner table for six – is at the villa’s exterior atrium shaded by a tree top. Wherever you choose to dine at, you can all sample authentic Thai specialties – as well as foreign fare – served up by the resident chef from the fully-equipped, ultra-modern kitchen alongside the indoor dinner table.
Not only does the capable staff of the villa extend the day-to-day services. The staff, as well, makes sure that all your demands are expediently met.
Baan Bua Sawan is situated in close proximity to Bo Phut Beach which just walking distance from the villa. Wallow in the sea and wander through the two-kilometer shoreline. Once you hit Fisherman’s Village, you’ll see quaint structures as well as the shopping finds along the Walking Street – in case it’s a Wednesday. On your next jaunt, stop by the Samui Big Buddha and the Samui Crocodile Farm. For sporty endeavors, try out Samui Go Kart or the Bo Phut Hills Golf Club.
10/10Heartfelt thanks to Pang and her team for taking such wonderful care of my family and my 89-year-old father. We have used Luxe Nomad for three years consecutively and have nothing but the highest praise for their level of service, organisation and kindness. We were originally staying for 2 weeks on a beachfront villa and moved to this villa as the other was booked out. We were all very pleasantly surprised by how lovely it was. Beautifully decorated and clearly feels like someone’s home. Stunning views and a great distance from the fisherman’s village – about a 20 minute walk, which I enjoyed. Pang and her team are all absolutely lovely and do everything with a sincere smile. The villa has a great outside space for eating This is a lovely place for the family to congregate as we rented two villas side-by-side. I would definitely recommend getting a chef –the food is phenomenal. Thank you so much Luxe Nomad; we hope to see you again next year!
9.6/10Beautiful villa and pool; 4th bedroom less than ideal - far removed from others and musty smell so we didn't use - but the rest of grounds were amazing great location in quiet part of island but close to Fisherman's Village
10/10The Baan Sawan i haven on Earth with the most beautiful view and plesant staff. You have the view the wind and the pool which makes a great combination in Koh Samui. Star is a gràcies hostes and will provide you with everything you need. We had the best days at the Baan Sawan and hope to return again soon.
10/10This is the first time I have written a review in trip advisor but I felt our stay in Baan Sawan deserved to be raved about! We felt that the level of service we received was excellent. We knew in advance that Star, the manageress, wasn't going to be in Koh Samui during our visit however she kept in touch with us on a very regular basis, both in the run up to our holidays, and whilst we were there, giving us helpful tips on what we could do during our vacation. Her husband, Levy, looked after us very well, knowing when to be on hand and knowing when to give us privacy. He even drove after us on his motorbike one day when he realised we were heading in the wrong direction for where we had planned to go! We felt that the villa was much better equipped than others we had rented in the past, but the thing we liked most about it, in terms of the interior of the house, was that it felt like a home rather than a holiday rental with the owners adding enough personal touches in the decor to make you feel "at home". Anne and Alistair, the owners, also keep in touch with us, making sure everything was okay and also giving us helpful tips on where to eat and places to go. We knew in advance that the villa was located in the hills and I must say we found this a huge positive. It gave us a peaceful base, one of the most scenic views we have ever had, a wonderful breeze, whilst at the same time access to everything else we needed, i.e. just over 5 minutes drive from the hub bub of Fishermans village and large supermarkets. Strolling out in the morning and surveying the stunning view still brings a huge grin to my face when I think about it. The pool was a nice size, often rental villa pools can be tucked into a very small space but in Baan Sawan it is one of the nicest features both in terms of size and layout. There is also a large expanse of garden which, in our 5 days, we didn't really fully utilise but it added to the feeling of privacy when you arrive. We wanted to see a bit of the island so we did hire a car and I would recommend this to visitors unless they want to just relax in the villa. All in all we felt it was an excellent place to stay. In fact when we arrived my 12 year old son probably summed up all our feelings by saying "wow why haven't we been here before and when are we coming back!". Thank you, we will recommend it and we will be back.
10/10We had visited Koh Samui many times before, usually staying in hotels (Conrad or Intercontinental). This time, having seen the website and read the reviews, we decided to take Baan Sawan Villa and certainly have no regrets - we had an amazing time and would thoroughly recommend it. We travelled with our 4 year old and 2 year old boys who loved the swimming pool and the gardens, and spent many hours catching butterflies with Star, the resident manager). The views from the villa are stunning and the whole property is kept in excellent order thanks to Star and her husband Levy, who also cooked for us on our first night, provided breakfast every morning, arranged our hire car (4x4 is recommended), and also various shopping and massages etc. The location (less than 5 minutes drive to Bophut Fisherman's Village) is also ideal. Would love to return.
10/10Had a great stay at the Baan Sawan Villa, I stayed there for my 40th birthday get away with two more ladies. The house is decorated very stylish, there are three bedrooms that are quite big and spacious. They have a infinity pool which has great view on the hilltop that over looks samui. There is a fantastic ambiance here and it's quite and down to earth settling is very relaxing and feels like you can have a customized retreat of your own because you can book in house massage and a great choice of food which you can dine in the villa. I can see that you could quite easily have a quaint wedding here or a great family holiday gathering! Great thanks to Star she is the manager and was a fab host! Like it!
10/10My family stayed at Baan Sawan for 10 days the end of September and had a fabulous trip. The villa is incredibly peaceful but within minutes to the restaurants and night market in Fisherman's village and a short drive to the beaches in Choeng Mon. The staff at the villa are incredible and made the most delicious breakfast. We sat out each morning looking out over the sea and neighbouring islands. They also had a high chair, cot and toys available which was fantastic when travelling with a young child. The owner's of the villa have thought of everything, even providing a bag and towels ready for the beach each morning.
