5 bedroom villas in Chaweng for rent

Chaweng emits an electric buzz with its myriad dining, shopping and nightlife venues. It’s known as the venue of choice for revellers, but there’s more to the place than a raucous party scene. Steer clear of the hot spots if it’s not partying that you’re after, and you’ll discover a quieter side to this popular town.

Your Chaweng villa looks out to an Instagram-worthy view made up of the right kinds of blues and greens - like lush foliage, clear skies and the turquoise ocean. When amenities like glistening pools, well-manicured gardens and impeccable service are essentials at your vacation rental, it’s a sure sign that you’ll be living large throughout your holiday.

The soft, white sand shores of Chaweng Beach are lined with a wide-ranging variety of restaurants, shops and nightlife venues. But it’s not all parties and rowdy late night crowds - upscale dining venues create romantic ambiences complete with candle-lit tables, fairy lights and lanterns. Skip the crowds during the day by heading to Chaweng Noi, an overlooked beach with a narrower beachfront, fewer vendors and more shade.

Away from the beach, villa vacationers may stretch it out in a yoga class at Vikasa Yoga Retreat, indulge in a spa ritual at Six Senses Spa, go snookah diving with operators like Samui Snookah Dive or try your hand at cooking Thai dishes under the guidance of experienced chefs at Island Organics of Pai Cookery Class.

A range of dining establishments are seven to 15 minutes’ drive from your villa. We like The Larder for its wonderful ambience and gourmet fare, Stacked Samui for its unfussy setting and decadent burgers, Khaw Glong Thai Restaurant for local classics and Chef’s Table for its gorgeous beachfront setting. For post-dinner entertainment, stop by On Street Bar for drinks or check out Bar Solo or Ark Bar for late night dancing and parties.

Chaweng makes a great base for day trips to the neighbouring Ko Tao and Ang Thong National Marine Park.
Biking around Ko Tao is a great way to take in the sights of the island and to get to its freediving and scuba diving sites. Vacationers depart for Ko Tao via a ferry boat trip from Mae Nam Pier (35 minutes’ drive away) that lasts about an hour and 45 minutes.

Ang Thong National Marine Park, an archipelago of 42 islands is a popular offshore destination with myriad attractions and activities - from sunbathing and swimming, to kayaking and snorkeling. Speedboats depart from Nathon Pier, about 55 minutes’ drive from your villa, and travellers typically spend a day exploring the various islands within the marine park.
