Baan Rattana Thep is an oceanfront cluster of aboutfive pavilions – all featuring the aesthetic blend of traditional Thai architecture and period design. Interiors are appointed with predominantly seemingly antiquated, local and ornate as well as Oriental furnishings, fixtures and pieces. Amenities are thoughtfully premium – to insure the total satisfaction and recreation of each and every guest. Truly, Baan Rattana Thep affords you seaside vacation living with an air that’s, most certainly, exotic and privileged.
The villa has five air-conditioned bedrooms. Four of these – including the master bedroom – are in the villa’s bedroom pavilion. The master bedroom and one guest room have four-post, draped, king-sized beds. Two other guest rooms have twin beds. One more guest room – in an individual pavilion – has a king bed. All bedrooms have dedicated bathrooms with rain showers. Three of these bathrooms, though, also have bathtubs – two of which are free-standing, and the other one, fitted.

At the center of the property is the 15-meter swimming pool. Leap into its welcoming, crystal clear waters for some mindless wading. Or, pull everyone in for some splashy fun and games. Out of the water, you can lie on cushioned, wooden pool beds partially shaded by large umbrellas on the poolside wooden deck, or by trees on the well-maintained lawn. Or, relax on the cushioned, wooden benches under the shade of the sala at the middle of the lawn.
At the sunny, breezy and high ceilinged central pavilion is the living area with its cushioned, wooden benches, as well as classic and luxurious sofas and chairs. Here, you can all mingle and mix. There are two dining areas. The indoor dining area – with its timber wood table that accommodates 10 – is at the villa’s dining pavilion. The alfresco dining area – with its circular, wooden table for eight – is at the dining sala at the edge of the property. Wherever you choose to dine at, you can all sample authentic Thai cuisine – as well as your most requested comfort food – served up by the in-house chef from the fully-equipped, modern kitchen at the dining pavilion. The kitchen also has a counter which, provided with high chairs, serves as a bar for meals, snacks, coffee and all kinds of drinks.
Assigned to attend to the daily services of the villa is a staff led by a manager supported by housekeepers and security personnel. Aside from the chef, a babysitter, a driver and a spa therapist may be called in upon your request. Their services come with a separate charge however. Car rental is available.
Baan Rattana Thep is situated in close proximity to Taling Ngam Beach. Aboard a traditional, long-tail boat, sail to the nearby islands. On a separate occasion, reel in the big fish at TopCats. Then let loose the child within at the Butterfly Park And Insect Kingdom.
10/10First time here at this villa, just as beautiful as the pictures on website. it is what it is! Love the service and the food. The team of chef and staff really knows our taste buds after ordering our first meal. The property is kept immaculately clean and the staff are there for us anytime and for anything! We came with 6 small children all under 3 years old to 3months old. great place for family gatherings. staff here are helpful with the children and made us all feel at ease all the time! Love the lush gardens and clean beach, so beautiful to wake up to! we will definitely come back over and over again.
10/10We enjoyed this villa vacation very much. So very comfortable and relaxing. The staff were personable and really took care of all our needs without any imposition what so ever. The rooms are large and comfortable. I told the manager that the villa is even nicer than what we saw on the internet pics - usually we experience the opposite. However, we were surprised to see the huge ferries from Java (that run and all day and evenings) dock just feet away from us. So while we are beach people - it wasn't the best of beaches - we stayed away and used the pool and grounds more during our stay.
10/10We chose this villa because it is located a little off the beaten track ( on the beach of Lipa Noi, on the West Coast ) . So there are fewer people , it's a little harder to move (it is recommended to rent a car is really not expensive - we drive on the left !) But it was peace. We wanted a place to raise a family usually dispersed throughout the world , and it was perfect because the service is impeccable , the equipment is lavish and delicious cuisine . We let ourselves truly live , enjoying a hotel service - but "at home" . In addition, sea sunsets are wonderful, the beach is directly below the house and is sandy , with little slope without vase or rocks ( ie not as most of the time in Koh Samui !! !) : ideal for young children.
